Foodu Food Delivery App
I'm excited to share my recent project on the Foodu delivery app. Foodu is a dynamic food delivery platform connecting users with local restaurants and cuisines. The app allows users to easily browse menus, place orders, and track deliveries in real-time. With personalized restaurant recommendations, multiple payment options, and a streamlined checkout process, Foodu offers a convenient and efficient dining experience. The branding I developed for Foodu, including a distinctive logo, perfectly captures the service's modern and reliable identity.
My Role: UX/ UI designer
Time Frame: 7 months
Tools: Figma, Figjam, Slack, Zoom,Google Meet, Paper, and pencil
The Problem:
The client sought to revamp their existing Foodu delivery app, which suffered from a cluttered user interface, a confusing navigation structure, and poor mobile optimization. These issues made it challenging for users to place orders and navigate the app, leading to low engagement and conversion rates.
The Goal:
The client aimed to create a new Foodu delivery app that would offer a seamless, user-friendly experience for their customers. They wanted the app to be easy to navigate, intuitive to use, visually appealing, and fully optimized for mobile devices. Additionally, the client sought to boost user engagement, increase conversion rates, and drive revenue growth.
My Role:
As the UI/UX designer, I led the design process for the new Foodu delivery app, aligning it with the client’s goals and objectives. My responsibilities included conducting UX research, designing the user interface, developing wireframes and prototypes, and testing the app to ensure it met the client's expectations.
Responsibilities:
1, Conducting UX research to understand the user's needs and pain points.
2, Creating a user flow and information architecture for the app.
3, Designing the user interface to provide a visually appealing and intuitive experience.
4, Creating wireframes and prototypes to test the design.
5, Testing the app with real users to identify any usability issues.
6, Collaborating with the development team to ensure the design was implemented correctly.
To address the cluttered user interface, I used a minimalist design approach that prioritized the most critical elements of the app. I also implemented a clean and consistent typography and color scheme that made it easy for users to read and navigate the app.
Solution
To increase user engagement, I added gamification elements to the app, such as reward points for loyal customers and personalized recommendations based on the user's order history. I also included a social sharing feature that allowed users to share their favorite meals with friends and family.
To solve the client's problem, I started by conducting UX research to understand the user's needs and pain points. I created a user flow and information architecture to ensure the app's navigation was intuitive and easy to use. I then designed the user interface to provide a visually appealing and modern experience that was optimized for mobile devices.
